The weekend...

Went to pick up Brannon in Conway before heading to the 'Ville. We're cruising in LR, ran into a friend with a modded Lightning. It's 396whp/471wtq if I remember correctly (I'm somewhere around 370-380whp/350-360wtq)... and we went out to a private course and stretched them out a lil. Mumu (my '07 Charger SRT8) took him by about a car each time.. I was pleastly suprised. Then cruised to the Ville. Got there, waited like 45mins then decided to run. Engine was still above 200deg, but I cut an 11.32@95mph (1000') which isn't bad for right off the highway. So I let her cool off a bit more... with Brannon in the car I ran an 11.39@93mph. Then I decided to let her cool off a lot more. A few hours later... I saddled up and with still "warm" engine temps (170deg) I cut a 11.05@97mph, which made me hot lap for an 11.14@95mph. Moral of the story... bring a few bags of ice for the intake mani next week... let her cool off to 150deg or so and then cut a 10.8-10.9 1K' (high 12's in the 1/4)... not bad for a 4150lb (full tank, no driver) car, with 4 doors, and for being nearly stock (intake). So on the way back from the track... I found a long stretch of an abandoned airport runway and wanted to see if she could top out (*cough cough)... They say they run 170mph and I've seen the "top speed recorder" say 170.8 on someone else's SRT8... so I layed into it... at 165.2mph I decided enough was enough and she could easily go 170mph if not faster (got 180 on the speedo). That's about it, really. I'm trying like crazy to help my friend with her situation. I really care about her, no doubt... but I don't want to get in the way of what she has, and cloud her decision. It's hard for me to support her and want her relationship to work, but I've been her friend for years so it's what I should do. I've got the good in me wanting her to be happy, and for everything to be "perfect", and then the bad in me is wanting a moment of saddness as things come crashing down while I'm there to help her pick up the pieces. You know who you are... and you'll probably read this... you're like my subscriber... and you're very dear to me indeed. I <3 being vauge and nondescriptive so as to remain "out" of the issues at hand.

Wow... been forever and a day. Lets see... The wife and I finally had our final go round, and I admitted to her that I had cheated on her, almongst being unhappy for almost 2.5yrs, and we decided to get a divorce. The divorce was final on the 5th of June. So now I'm on my own, as she is... and I've got myself a nice apartment with nothing fancy for furniture, I bought myself a new car... although I never thought I'd get rid of my SRT4, but I traded up for a '07 Dodge Charger SRT8... Sure it's not as fast as the SRT4 was persay, but it's much a much nicer ride, seats 5 comfortably and still has a little get up and go. I'll be taking Mumu (SRT8's nickname) to the track to see if her 4150lb (w/o driver w/full tank of gas) can get down the 1000ft track in (I estimate low 11's, high 10's). Hmm what else... I've got a pretty crazy life going on right now.. it's good tho. Got some really good friends to help me through it all (Thanks L*, and Matt ;) ). Well that's all for now.. TTFN... promise I'll post more soon... haha
